A Georgian style Heathfield House nestled in the New Forest, Hampshire built in 1760. Once the home of the Bingham family, Heathfield House especially designed for socialising in the eighteenth century. Today, the rejuvenated Heathfield into a unique exclusive-hire venue for special occasions and weddings.
With picturesque views, the building also has stylish, luxurious interior with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Set in fifteen acres of land there is plenty of space to explore and relax. More personal, adaptable and private than a hotel, Heathfield is the perfect venue for celebrating smaller wedding celebrations for up to 24 guests. No interruptions, no strangers – just you and your friends and family.
Heathfield inspired the Couture Love Heathfield collection. Bespoke pocket folder, personalised wedding set. Including information sheet, reply card and self-addressed envelopes. Liquorice and taupe paper with vintage cream rose detail with ivory bow ribbon and Swarovski gem on the cover. Coordinating on-the-day stationery includes decoupage layered menu, the order of the day, seating plan, table names and place cards with Swarovski details.
A wedding isn't complete without a cake. Bespoke creations and fancy treats to eat by Emma at Fancie Buns.
With terraces and open parkland, the naturally landscaped grounds have been cultivated since the 18th century to offer a timeless place to enjoy a stylish and intimate wedding.
Heathfield accommodation has a luxurious feel with a sun-filled breakfast room, two living rooms with log fires, an exquisite dining room, a well-equipped kitchen for catering staff, study, cinema room, games room, and workspaces.
Heathfield House history
The estate has a rich and varied history. The 19th Century Latin motto “Dieu Ayde” meaning “Let us go on, or God assists us” still sits above the front door. Over the years there have been very few owners of the House – everyone who lived here tended to stay. The most notable owner was Lady Bingham, wife of Sir George Bingham (who guarded the deposed Napoleon). The house was also home to airmen during the Second World War while the surrounding area developed into an airbase. One of these airmen eventually bought the house when the war was over. Heathfield also housed war heroes – carrier pigeons. These birds went on to save many lives during the war, some even winning the coveted Dickin award!
