Elegant Black Wedding Decor

Chris and Liv are a real couple, they were married a fortnight before the black and gold wedding decor styled shoot, which took place one summer evening within the grounds of Rownham House, which is located on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire. Here is a showcase of ideas for an elegant wedding breakfast celebration.

Gallie is a spectacular black beauty and the couple’s much-loved member of the family. It is easy to see why she became the star of the show.

Lauren worked alongside bespoke gown designers Ben and Adrien, at Nortier Shallow. The creative duo are based in Basingstoke, Hampshire who specialise in sustainable, fashion-forward bridal wear. They definitely designed a compelling and romantic wedding dress that differed from a typical wedding theme.

The dress was esspecially delicate with a mixture of toile and polka dot lace which tumbled over a cream base. The overlaying of fabric clearly created a statement of flowing elegance. The textures were 1950s decadent. The subtle darkness spoke more Odile in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake ballet too.

The loose, hand tied bouquets were created using fern foliage and a mix of over-sized cream and red dahlias. As well as the flowers, Liv’s hair styles conveyed a whimsical relaxed. Undoubtedly a harmony was created through a gentle grace

Furthermore a variety of items were provided by various suppliers. The handmade stationery by Lily Anna Rose included bronze and gold name-places, and a table plan. The pieces unquestionably added warmth and power against the backdrop of mahogany cabinets and leather bound books.

The application of splattered gold spray paint reflected the book spines and complimented the dark lustre and marble layers of textured papers. In addition the  library created the perfect atmosphere for an intimate dining experience.

I am absolutely delighted with the invitations, they look incredible, classy & elegant but still modern and the colours look amazing.

Finally to add, the savoury cheese cake was provided by the Emsworth Deli with a magnificent tower of cheese. Whilst the sweet notes from Liz at Cakebuds delivered a dramatic focal point to the display. In addition to the work of art other sweet treats followed the theme. At the same time the testament of her talent deserved more than an average cake stand, which was displayed as a stand-alone feature on top of a gold antique table.

Welsh-grown but Hampshire-based Lauren Hughes (AKA LaHu) is one of the life’s’ gifts. Lauren possess a real flair for what she does, and is full of creativity. Furthermore, she has a wicked sense of humour mixed in with kindness and generosity. You can’t ask for more than that from a wedding photographer.
