Real Wedding Ideas & Inspiration
Jack and Freya
Freya and Jack Cork had an intimate wedding with close friends and family at the Chewton Glen, Hotel, and Spa. They started planning with just nine weeks to go before the wedding. Dahlia Hill, wedding planner, worked with the couple to ensure they got the beautiful day they wished for. As part of the table decorations, Freya wanted something playful for the guest place names. Freya placed gold backed personalised name cards into Champagne corks.
LYNDSEY AND MATTHEW
Where the story began… The Solent Hotel and Spa played host to the wedding and reunion place for Lyndsey and Matthew. The couple first me whilst working at the hotel, several years previously. Flora arrangements were designed by Owen from Little Lillies. A mix of punchy lime Hydragenas, combined with rustic fauna and branches combined with the surrounding woodland created a fresh feel to the theme. Lyndsey and Matthew chose the Couture Love, Burley collection. Photography was captured by Kerry Potter Photography.
NICOLA AND DARREN
Silver and coral themed ceremony held at the Holiday Inn, Fareham for this lovely couple. Nicola recalls best parts of the special day being ‘walking down the aisle and seeing Darren’s smile for the first time that day. Also hearing Phoebe (Nicola’s daughter) reading a poem that she had chosen especially. Nicola and Darren met ten years before they ever got together the rest, as they say, is history. Lily Anna Rose created a bespoke wedding stationery set that Nicola ultimately wanted to tie in with their late June wedding – the theme of white and coral was fresh, contemporary, and playful.
VICKY AND ADAM
Vicky and Adam announced their ‘I do’s’ in the cosy setting on the Surrey hillside at the stunning Gate Street Barn. A warm and inviting venue perfect for a winter wedding. Sally Covell from Bridal Flowers Direct supplied all the flowers for both the venue and the bridal party. Vicky’s bouquet was made up of white Anemones, white Ranunculas, silver Brunia, Senecio, Rosemary, berried Eucalyptus Populus and natural pine cones. The same flowers and foliage were used to decorate the venue with white hydrangeas included in the table centrepieces. The Couture Love Burley collection captured the elegant-rustic theme.
GEORGIE AND ASHKRAY
Mud and boots are Georgie’s everyday attire as a farmer. For Georgie and Ashkray they wanted to celebrate their day surrounded by the beautiful grounds of their farm in Dorset. The couple wanted a pretty setting from start to finish. Pocket folder stationery adorned with floral illustrations and on the day stationery to match. Their love of each other and literature went hand-in-hand as they opted for table names as bookmarks – each with a particular authors’ name and brief quote from their favourite novel.
ALMA AND ZETH
A long journey from their homeland, Hong Kong meant Alma and Zeth’s love for an English woodland was truly obvious. The couple created a whimsical woodland wonderland. Bringing the outside, inside. Arcade Flowers set the magical scene with crystal candelabra, and natural fauna ferns, ivy and little succulents displayed in bell jars. Lifesize Disney Bambi and twinkling fairy lights. Every detail intricately considered transforming the Lake Suite at the Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa, Dorset into a genuinely enchanting spectacle.
KERRINA AND KENNY BRUCE
After seven years together Kerrina and Ken tied the knot at Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa with a mid-summer English country garden wedding. Abi Chadwick, photographer captured their day. The couple were celebrating moving into their new home when Kenny proposed in front of their family and friends, through the power of a commercial advert. Kenny is the founder of Purple Bricks and he used the actors to propose with a spoof of one of their adverts. The couple opted for a pretty, feminine wedding invitation set held white gold pocket folders, with soft peach, ivory and cute pastel floral.
